Gadolinium-based contrast agents carry risks for patients with renal disease, so a contrast-free method is needed. Cardiac MRI scans from 41 patients were segmented at Karolinska Institutet, to compare the contrast-free map T1ρ against the contrast-based maps.

An interference filter that is not parallel to the sensor shifts its passband toward shorter wavelengths, and the shift is uneven across the frame. A Python script measures that asymmetry from three RAW frames.
